Lancashire’s brilliant exponents of Irish influenced jigs, reels and ballads are back at Cloudspotting after a two year break.

‘This Clitheroe based quartet sets the highest benchmark! Why don’t you find out for yourself?’

Drop The Floor are fronted by the vocals, songwriting and guitar playing of Richard Moss – who draws from historic Lancashire verse and poems as an inspiration for his songs.  He is flanked by the fiddle playing of Martin Baptie, the banjo of Dan Burke and the special ingredient of the majestic uilleann pipes courtesy of Ste Johnston.

This four-piece, known for their mammoth sessions at the New Inn back room in nearby Clitheroe, committed their early recordings to an excellent album ‘Raise the Roof’.  Be sure not to miss their high energy set on Sunday tea-time.
